Today we are launching our new prom essentials series! Our first post a prom checklist! Getting ready for prom can be a stressful thing so we want to ease any stress you may have! Here is a list of things that are important to making a prom an enjoyable night to remember, not a stressful night you want to forget!
Dress:
First and foremost you need a dress! Whether it be a ball gown, a cocktail dress of something in between, you are going to want to make sure your prom dress is something you love. You’re going to look your best when you feel confident in what you are wearing!
Shoes:
Of course you also need shoes! When choosing the shoes to wear to prom there are a few things to keep in mind. Between taking pictures at pre-prom and dancing all night long, you are most likely going to be on your feet for a long time. Because of this you may want to consider shoes with a lower heel. As is the case with the more confident and comfortable you feel, the better you are going to look!
Clutch:
You are going to want to have a clutch to carry everything you want to bring with you to prom. A clutch is also a fun way to accessorize your dress. If you are wearing a white or a black dress find a clutch in a bright color to add a pop of color. Silver or gold clutches are also great options because they are classic and can be used for years to come!
Hair & Makeup:
When it comes to hair and makeup it is always fun to play around and try new things. If you are getting your hair and makeup done make sure you are on the same page with the person doing it for you and if possible consider a trial to test out new looks and figure out what works best for you. If you are doing your own hair and makeup make to practice and figure out what you are going to do a few days before to in order to relieve stress the day of.
Transportation:
From pre-prom to prom to after prom and everywhere in between, there is a lot of moving around on prom day! Whether you booked a limo, are using uber or lyft, or have a parent driving you it is important you don’t want to be worrying and stressed out about how you are getting to every place they day of.
The most important thing to remember on prom night to have fun! It is a night to celebrate the end of the school year, graduation and all your accomplishment for the year! Don’t stress just enjoy and celebrate the night!
